AI 비용을 볼 때 사람들은 모델 가격만 본다. 하지만 실제 비용에는 chat interface가 붙이는 숨은 세금이 있다.
Telegram, Discord, Slack은 편하다. 이동 중 capture나 짧은 명령에는 최고의 interface다. 그러나 긴 작업에서는 tool definitions, gateway context, platform metadata가 매번 prompt에 붙으며 token overhead가 커질 수 있다. 같은 작업이라도 CLI에서 실행하면 더 짧은 context로 끝날 수 있다.
따라서 좋은 agent 운영은 “어디서 대화하면 편한가”와 “어디서 실행하면 효율적인가”를 분리한다. Capture와 notification은 messaging gateway, 긴 실행과 파일 작업은 CLI가 더 맞을 때가 많다.
